Stretch Limo

A stretch limo is a vehicle that is unusually long. Traditionally, a stretch limo is either black or white, however, there have been several extravagant colors developed to suit the tastes of others or for use in parties. These colors include magenta, pink and blue.

Stretch limos are often associated with the wealthy, but you don't have to be rich to enjoy a stretch limo. Stretch limos are often rented for birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries and even for nights on the town in big cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago and New York.

There are those individuals who own a stretch limo. They typically hire a driver, or chauffeur, who drives them wherever they need to go. Many limousines are also owned by large companies as well as the government. Broadcast companies also have limos to transport guests.

There are also several exotic stretch limos that have been developed. These limos include the Mercedes-Benz S Class, Hummer H2, BMW 760li, and the Leland Miracle. SUV stretch limos are also popular including the Lincoln Navigator and the Ford Excursion. Other types of exotic or "ultimate" stretch limos are made from Audi, Bentley, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lexus, Rolls-Royce and even Volkswagen. Corvettes and VW bugs have also been turned into stretch limos.

There are several custom stretch limo builders in the US. There are various different lengths of limousines available, but the typical stretch limo usually holds six to ten passengers and possibly a couple more depending on the type of vehicle. The typical Lincoln Town Car Sedan stretch limo runs for approximately $85,000, of course this depends on the amenities and features the vehicle includes. Many government and official stretch limos are armored and have bulletproof glass to protect the occupants. This is to prevent assassinations of important political and religious people, such as the US President or the Pope.
